Swelling and Pain in the legs!

This pain feels more like soreness, tenderness, and achiness instead of the stabbing type of pain. Sometimes the people notice the pain is worse when you are walking or standing for an extended period. Some of the people also mistake this pain with the pain of muscles which get pulled or nay another injury. But in reality, the pain of the blood clot in the leg only tends to get worse and doesn’t get better even with the time or the rest.

Muscle cramps!

A lot of people have suffered from muscle cramping in the leg at a point in their lives. You need to know that generally, it is the charley horse that basically strikes you at night, and it only lasts for a few minutes. But the blood clot in the leg can cause pain in the calf area, and it also feels a lot similar to the pain of the charley horse. You need to know that all the symptoms of blood clots are due to the blocked flow of the blood. Skin warmth is also one of those symptoms. It is because when the blood doesn’t circulate in the usual way, then it backups and fills the outer veins more progressively, which causes the warmth in the area. When you touch the rea of your leg where the blood clot has occurred, you will feel it warmer the other surrounding area. Well, some of the people also experience the warm in the whole calf or limb area.

Change in color!

The blood clot in the leg area can also lead to a change in the color of the skin which is surrounding the vein. You might notice the redness of the skin along with the pain as well as the swelling in that area of the leg. But you need to get familiar with the fact that the skin can also have different discoloration, like the dark or bluish appearance in that area. This is all because of the blocked blood flow. Instead of resolving with time, the color change will start to persist more.
